Downtime: 7-10 days for swelling, up to 14 days for bruising.
Preparation: Attend make up free. Cease any blood thinning medications 72 hours prior to treatment. This includes, Ibuprofen, fish oil and alcohol.
Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance which we naturally produce in our bodies, giving our skin a plump and hydrated look. As we age, the natural levels of hyaluronic acid decreases, therefore dermal fillers are used to replace this which results in a more hydrated, volumised and youthful appearance.
Dermal fillers can be used in multiple areas on the face to plump lips, contour cheekbones, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, volumise temple hollowing, camouflage nasolabial folds and sharpen the jawline. It can also be used to rejuvenate the back of the hands, neck and décolletage.
Dependent on product used and desired outcome, treatment can be performed every 6, 12 or 18 months.
